When I was little and was told to wait one minute, I would begin to count as fast as I could to make time go by faster. But when mom said one minute, she actually meant sixty real seconds, not the milliseconds I was counting.
Sometimes we are like that with God. When He says wait, we count as fast as we can to make time go by faster, or we try to help Him to speed things up. However, no matter how fast we count, it will not change how long it truly takes for a second or a minute to pass. When we find ourselves getting impatient with God, we need to remind ourselves to stop counting and trust the Creator of Time.
He holds it all in His hands.
