Praise Him! Praise Him!

Habakkuk 3:3b “His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise.”

As I read this passage I can hear the rooster crowing in our back yard. He crows at the top of his lungs without concern of who will hear him. He crows if someone is listening or no one at all, because he does it unto his Creator. All day he sings with full force, abandoned, unashamedly to the Lord with everything he has. On hearing his praises, I was gently corrected for when I, we (as Christians), don’t follow suit. We don’t give God our all in so many things. Too often we are concerned with what others will think, or we think we are not good enough at it to give God. Psalm 17:7 tells us that we praise the Lord for His righteousness. It is not about us. So put aside your concerns and give God your all. Trust that He created you to bring Him glory, and that pleases Him. The earth is to be full of His praises. And He is worthy to be praised.1 Chickens and all other creatures praise the Lord. Let us join in, and give Him all we got.
