Galatians 6:14-15
“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision not uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.”
I just finished a study on the book of Galatians. We talked about a new creation and what it meant, what it signified. It made me think of a baby. How we are physically a new creation but how also there is NO going back for us. Our old life, that in the womb, is no more. We are living a new life. Our old life has no place in the new.
As Christians, saved by the Grace of God though Jesus Christ, we are made new in Him. We are given new life. No longer are we to take part in the sins of our past, we are to walk in the Spirit and walk in obedience to God.
Do not let the past control you. You are made as a new creation through Jesus Christ. Cast off the old man, as Paul would say, which grows corrupt and be renewed in the spirit;1 have nothing more to do with that lifestyle. You are now called to walk in in way of Truth. Walk in the Light, and follow the example of Jesus.
In Christ,
Charisa
