Go Where the Water is Going

A few weeks back a group of us went down the Coosa River. With every trip, the owner gives a briefing of what to expect, dos, and don’ts. In his instructions he tells the newbies when you come to the Rapids, don’t try to come up with all these plans of how you are going to maneuver them, just “go where the water is going.” You’ll be less likely to tip over and flip your boat.

This last time we went, I was hit with a Spiritual lesson for life. When we come toward hard times, we like to come up with our own plans of how we are going to maneuver around them. Don’t! Just go where the Lord is going. Psalm 32:8 says, God will “instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; [He] will guide you…” Trust Him.

When we make our own plans and go where we think it would be best and not where the Lord is going, we are more likely to tip our spiritual boat over.

So, my friends, in your Christian life “go where the Lord is going.”
