Book Signing and History for “THEO’S STAND”

I am excited to share with you all that I will be doing a book signing on June 14th at the Wetumpka Public Library in Alabama from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. This is a great opportunity to get a signed copy of the book! If you have a copy and would like it signed, come by! Or just come for the company!

With my new book, Theo’s Stand, now available for purchase, I wanted to share a little history about it.

Writing a book about the armor of God was no where in my mind when God began planting seeds. One day, on my drive home from work, I began praying for a friend. I prayed that the Lord would give this friend the tools needed. The moment I said those words I stopped. The realization was shown to me: this friend already had what they needed; they just needed to be taught how to use the tools. So, I changed my prayer. “Lord, help this friend to learn how to use the tools, the weapons, You have provided.” That same day a visual appeared in my head: a young soldier defending his castle. He was afraid of the surrounding enemy. He had been given what he needed for the fight, but he did not know how to use them. A messenger from the King arrives and teaches this soldier what to do and how to stand.

This was the beginning of what God would use to spur on Theo’s Stand. This story and the need for Christians to learn how to fight spiritually with the armor of God is how my book was born. The story of a young soldier learning how to stand and fight the enemy parallels with our fight as Christians against Satan. Ephesians chapter six tells us of the spiritual enemy and battle. We are all called to fight, and we have all been given the spiritual armor needed. However, we must learn to use God’s armor and learn to stand and defend our spiritual castles. God helps us, but we must be willing to stand and fight.

If you have not read Theo’s Stand, I would highly recommend reading it!
