Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, only surpassed by Resurrection Sunday (Easter). Christmas is a time of celebration. We celebrate that God would choose to send His only Son into this sin-stricken world to begin a journey of redemption. God has such patience and precision and has a plan for everything. From the time of conception it took Jesus nine months to be born, then it took thirty years before He began His ministry, and then He spent three years teaching and healing. The whole process took thirty-three years. That is not to mention all the prophecies that God spoke about Christ coming into the world. Yet, He came at just the right time that was prescribed in the Bible, fulfilling everything that was ever said about Him, His birth, His ministry, His death, and His resurrection.
So, as we approach this Christmas season, remember that God has the perfect plan. He will do all He has said, but it will be in His timing, not ours. Wait patiently on the Lord, and you will see His glory. You may be hoping for certain things this Christmas; you may be waiting for God to move. Take heart and keep waiting. He is working and making preparations for His plan. The plan of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, did not make sense to anyone living in that time, but we can see how perfect it was and is. Trust God in His plans this Christmas season.
Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
